My son Luke performed a cover of The Tide by The Spill Canvas at his high school talent show on Friday. Fortunately, one of his friends made a decent recording and put it on youtube because my own video is just plain sad. Technology seems to have rudely stood up and fled as far away from me as it can get. I ran after it for a while but now it just makes my brain numb to think about it.
You won't be able to see how cool and cute his is and the sound is a bit tin-nie, but I'm proud. He's always been able to sing even when he was a toddler. His father, whose aunt is Patti Page, provided him with some good genes. Anyway, I'd love for you to take a listen. The guitar accompaniment is Caleb Sade.
I don't know why the right side of the screen is cut off. It shouldn't make a difference except you can't click out of the ad at the bottom. Just click play then click on the title to link to youtube.
I'm also throwing in some journal pages because I've never made a post where I didn't show some photographs.
Look at Luke! You have raised a beautiful man. What an accomplishment! I'm really happy for you guys. :-)
Your pages are wonderful. I was showing a friend our True Colors journal the other day--of course she stopped and took a breath on your pages, cuz they really were special. The tiny circles you can draw amaze me (I want to learn how to machine quilt circles) and I loved seeing the bit of our old school scrapbook papers. ;) Thanks for sharing this great post Donna.
