It's been so long since I've posted I almost feel silly doing it. In many ways I miss my blog and I'm not exactly sure why I seem to have developed some sort of psycho fear of it. I guess I've convinced myself there are so many blogs to choose from these days why would anyone pick mine? I should be looking at it the way I did back when I first started. Back before anyone read my blog. It was fun to write just for the sake of entertaining myself. Maybe I'll relax and give that philosophy another go!
I've been having fun teaching classes at Paper Crown in Oklahoma City. The last class we did was journaling. It was a great group and we had fun. What I learned was that a journaling class can go on for years. No wonder some artists teach nothing but journaling. There is no end to the different techniques that can be taught and shared among journalers. I will definitely be thinking of ways to do more journaling classes. Here's a shot of a page I've been working on.
I finished painting it tonight and it looks so different now. I kinda like this pen and ink look though. I love to mix doodling with collage. Oh! I've also been into stamp carving. I've always intended to play around with it and finally got around to it. I've cut off the bottom of this page so you can't see the stamp on it. I'll post it painted tomorrow and I'll show the stamp. I'm not great at it but I'm thinking more practice will make perfect. It's much easier than I thought it would be.
I've managed to cut more wallpaper packs and I've marked these flocked packs to half price. They are not moving and I want them out of here. I will continue to sell the flocked wallpaper in mini rolls seasonally. This new regular vintage wallpaper pack contains 22 sheets of 8.5x10ish and one slightly smaller sheet of my most beautiful wallpaper. It's the roses above. I don't know how many patterns I have but I'd say it's at least 200. This is not only my prettiest paper, but the prettiest paper I've ever seen. I'm happy to share some of it, but this will be the only time I can do it because I don't have much.
I'm off to watch a movie and go to bed. Here's hoping I will be able to recapture my former blog enthusiasm. I really want to:)
