I've been collecting vintage Christmas goodies all year and I'm ready to start makin' stuff! I am very much hoping that some of you will join me in a Vintage Tree Topper Swap. When I made that Halloween hat for Heather and threatened to make a Christmas hat, it occurred to me those cones might make good tree toppers. Then I thought it might be fun to do a Christmas tree topper swap.
Now, you would have full creative freedom to make any sort of topper you like. It certainly doesn't have to be a cone. I would partner you with someone and you could work out favorite colors, sizes, etc. I realize many people have a traditional tree topper they use every year, but most of us have more than one tree, plus the topper doesn't necessarily have to be used on top of your Christmas tree.
If you would be interested in joining a swap like this, please leave a comment on this post or email me. If there is enough interest, I will make a blog button and put the whole thing together. Here is a little something I'm working on.....told you I was going to make a Christmas hat! It's not quite finished, but I wanted to have something that might inspire you.
That looks fun! Sign me up. Oh I hope I get someone good to swap with, maybe Tracy would swap with me.
I might have to come work in your studio since I don't have squat, seeing as how I'm NEVER allowed to enter your drawings. I could find some vintage stuff though, you know how resourceful I am. I'll just do that...find my own stuff.
