Here is my 2nd vintage wallpaper inspired oil painting. I'm working on another one but keep avoiding it because I'm not sure how I'm going to cover the pencil marks necessary in drawing the design on the board before painting. There is no way I can paint it without drawing it first. Can't possibly get that kind of precision without a pencil. I may paint something else instead. But I'd really like to see the outcome of this particular pattern so hopefully I can power through it.

I did this next painting sometime in December. It's growing on me.

I struggled with the lollipop in the girl's mouth because I sure don't want it to look like a cigarette. It was in her mouth in the reference photo and I really wanted to keep it in the painting. I'm going to stop worrying about it. It is what it is.
I got a hankering to do some ribbon flowers a while back and decided to make a journal with the flowers on the spine. I finally finished it and I'm going to put it in my etsy shop. I'll get it photographed soon and show it here on my blog. I'm considering doing some ribbon flower brooches soon but I'm not sure if I'm in the mood to paint or embroider.....so I think I'll clean up and reorganize and then I might be able to make some decisions:)
